Default overtightened locknut on valve lash adjust

have a d15b7
so i didnt feel like searching for torque spec...
i was tightening it look for resistance.
but i felt it start to spin freely so i just backed off and left it
i need the car drivable and it seems fine currently

did i strip the nut or mess up the rocker?

if someone could tell me exactly what i need to buy and how big a project this is.
im sad...

Only person thats going to be able to say whether its stripped or not, is you... Look at it.
Chances are, something (nut or rocker) is fucked...

You can get the part at a junk yard, the classifieds here, or a dealership (http://www.slhonda.com & click parts)

im going to guess that it is the rocker,
based off that site, what do i need to buy to cover either case?
it was the third cylinder, left exhaust (while looking at the motor)

im guessing 14623-PM3-010 ARM A, EX. ROCKER

I have a helms manual and they have an illustration of a box wrench doing the tightening. How are we able to read tq specs with it?

its 13ft/lbs for the d16y7 (1-2lbs more for the y8)
Im sure its that for the d15b
If youre thinking its 20...thats why yours is broken

I tighten mine to where I know the screw wont turn anymore, then I check it with a tq wrench (non-clicker, analog gauge type)

yes, i do realize i overtightened it
the point of where it stripped i feel as if i was at 25-30

so... the something IS stripped already
will that part i mentioned above be the fix to my problem?

im not going to touch it to figure out whether it is only the bolt or not
the part seems cheap enough to just replace and not have to take a chance

i took a risk and examined my problem
the adjustment screw is stripepd so i ordered the part

to put it in, it looks as if i would have to take out the whole rocker assembley because the adjustment screw does not want to come out the top.
