Default Saw The Car I Want ... Moonroof is a Bit "Clunky" 97 Accord SE Red

This car is WAY underpowered, but I'm done "racing". It is in pristine condition. Almost cherry - It had some stereo stuff in it before - No biggie ... I looked at it VERY cafefully.

Anyway, it has a moonroof. When I opened it, it was like the whole roof was going to colapse onto me. It was smooth and fast in opening, but when it opened completely, it was very "clunky" and loud. This was the ONLY "problem" that I saw on this car.

Is this right? I know it's a factory moonroof, 'cause I saw the original window sticker. Are they all like this?

Sweet car huh?

Looks nice excpet for the sunroof problem. I am not a big fan of the spoiler or cloth seating.

Ive got a 97 SE, same moonroof clunking, I think it normal. Still seals nicely, Ive had it close to 3 years and not a problem.

My 93 does the same thing, if someone is in the car and I open it without telling them they jump. been opening and closing for years now and still no leaks even in those high pressure non-touch car washes. I say get it!

That's the only 96-97 model I like...color is nice too. But the wood trim..automatic...and grey cloth. ugh

My moonroof (they're moonroofs people unless it doesn't have a window, that's a sunroof) doesn't really make too much noise. Could just be a problem with your model?

when you say "clunky" you mean it makes a THUD when it's opening? Mine does a thud when you go to open it due to the moonroof coming down before sliding back... Make any sense? It's smooth the rest of the time.
