Just bought a 92 Civic Si and I am working on putting it back to stock. Currently, it has some no-name warm air intake and a header that has seen better days... been welded back together a few too many times at the flange. Plus, I race in stock class and plan to stay there, so I'm looking for the stock airbox/intake parts and a Z6 exhaust manny.

My question is.. is the D16Z6 airbox/intake unique, or is the airbox and intake tubing the same on all EG civics? Just wondering since Si hatches seem fairly hard to come by around here, especially in junkyards. If I see a CX or DX at the junker, should I keep walking, or is it worth it to me to start pulling parts?

I'm pretty sure the Z6 exhaust manifold is specific to the engine, correct? I suspect that other D16 mannys would probably bolt up fine, but would it make a difference at all in terms of flow or performance?

cx and vx have throttlebodies that are about 30mm in diameter, you can't use one of them, but i believe a d15b7 one would work

 

Cool, I already have the throttle body, I'm wondering if all the plastic tubing and airbox/air cleaner housing are compatible. I'm thinking since there is no MAF sensor that the airbox/air cleaner housing are probably pretty close to the same for all EG engine bays if not exactly the same, I was just wondering if anybody knew for sure.
