Default 95 civic uses a lot of oil. quart/day

I have a 95 civic ex, with stock engine. Currently im driving 250/miles a day and I have to put a quart of oil just about every morning. Im wondering because I burn through so much oil should I be bothering with an oil change at every 3000 miles seems pointless to me b/c im always putting in new oil. 2nd since im burning through this **** so much would putting some seafoam to clean the engine up a bit be a good idea?. I mean there has to be some residue left from all this oil it burns.

i think its burning so much cause i recently blew a head gasket/radiator and had it rebuilt. also have a minor O-ring leak(fixing it today).

if you are burning a quart every 250 miles you will see ALOT of smoke, if you dont then you most likely have more leaks and a little blowby rather than just burning it all.

seafoam isnt going to help, if you are burning the oil the top end is oil caked already and will do it again after seafoaming, basically wasting time and money.

no point in changing the oil. fix the problem.

Considering what you are spending on oil you should just replace your engine with another D series. It will pay for itself in no time.

Check your PCV valve if it is stuck open it will suck the oil right out.

Actually just replace it.
