my friend has one and so does my brother and neither have rear speaker mounts, i'm not sure if they only came on the si models? any insight would be greatly appreciated. If they do come in any hatchback does anyone know what year and model specific?

Si's have rear speakers.

 

Yes, I have a 92 DX Hatch and there are mounts in the rear passenger sides. I have polk 6 1/2"s in there. However... my car was made by Honda of Canada...

 

Mine came with speaker "mounts" in the rear panels. They really suck though because they do not have specific holes / mounting apparatus for a speaker. Unless mine are missing something. They can hold speakers, but they have to be rigged in there. Also, because there is no real baffle there is zero resonace from the speakers in that rear area. Hence, no midbass. This has always frustrated me quite a bit.

 

mine also has a sticker "Honda of Canada"...but i dont have proper rear speaker mounts...sucks...i think i do, but it's going have to go in really ghetto...so i'm not even going to bother...

exactly, save your money and just amp the front speakers or components.

 

exactly my plan...but that's after i run 13's of course...blasting music wont actually make my car go any faster...but it sure is an added bonus..

My 94 Dx was Made in Canada also. It came with no speakers at all. When my wife bought it she had no radio at all. She then paid the $$$ for the Honda speaker kits. I have inherited the Civic DX hatch, in trade for the A4 I bought. In turning the car into a w2w road race car, I have stripped the inteiror and have the speaker kits for anyone who might want it. The color is stock Honda grey.

94-95 si's are the only civic hatchbacks 92-95's that came with rear speaker outlets, im almost positive about this!

 

every damn honda I've ever seen in America has a honda of Canada sticker on it so that is pretty normal, I was told to get civic si rear pannels for my 93' cx, ***** that I'm just going to get some nice fronts and leave the rears for upgrading later.
