jdm p30 ecu question for usdm b16a3
the motor is in the delsol in stock form, but i was wondering if a p30 jdm ecu would run the car? it already have the usdm ecu in it. will it be any different if i plug up the obd1 p30 jdm ecu on the usdm b16a3 motor. feels any different, vtec crossover? fuel/map magement?
just bascially want to know if it worth the time to plug in the jdm p30 ecu in a delsol equip with usdm b16a3 motor.
thanks, Ron

It will run the car. The B16A (SiR) has a slightly higher compression than the B16A3. The VTEC crossover is the same, the fuel map will be slightly different. Feeling a noticeable difference is minimal. The limiter will be higher, so watch out.

I don't think it is since they have two redlines

the redline in my '94 del Sol VTEC is 8200, and I believe that its a B16A3. B16A2 is 96-97 del Sol VTEC & 99-00 SI motor, with 8000 redline.
