upgrading clutch?
hey im new to the forums. Just wondering, what are the benefits to getting a better clutch? Also, benefits for intakes, exhausts, etc.. Finally, what is the cheapest way to increase performance? Thanks.
Upgrading the clutch will ensure it wont slip and will allow the trans to be in the selected gear much quicker. An intake or actually a cold air intake will allow you to benefit from the cooler location for the filter, the goal being to reduce intake air temp which will let the car run slightly leaner since the car runs rich. An exhaust would compliment the intake, but is mostly for the sound and looks when you are picking one out. The cheapest way to make HP is JDM intake manifold, Hondata intake gasket, and cold air intake. If you can sacrifice your ecu, immobilizer, and a key for a week, then you would benefit most from the Hondata reflash. That combined with the upgrades above will make killer all motor power without breaking open the motor. More than enough to take down most SRT-4s. One other way that will be reliable is Supercharging, but it'll set you back 3-4k and is more reliable than turbo for everyday use.
