My experience with Flik wheels has been very positive. I assume you'd be ordering from Edge Racing, and their service is excellent. I can't speak directly to the Blast, but if my wheels (Wasps) are any indication, you won't be disappointed with them.

Sometimes the non-Rota is a little heavier. Like Speed Masters that look like Slips are slighter heavier than Rota. Just something to think about.

This occurred to me too, but Edge Racing's site lists them at 11.9 lbs, which is virtually identical to the equivalent Rota.

haha wow. a copy of a copy. didnt know there were rota imitations..
i would personally scrap for the extra $200. its not very much, and it is a very well known wheel that wont give you problems.

Rota has never been the exclusive "copier" of the SW-388 design, and in this case, I see no reason to spend another $200 for them. Flik is also well-known (although mainly among the VW enthusiasts), and Edge Racing is a terrific vendor. There won't be any issues with choosing Flik.

I had the Flik Spoon copies. Cosmetically they seemed to be a "flatter" black than Rotas. I'm not 100% on this but I think you can get Slips in 15x7 where the Blast C's only come in 15x6.5.

Overall I liked them. IMO, unless your looking for wheels to go on a race car, get what you can afford.

I've seen used sets of rotas with tires go for $400.

If I liked slips, That's the route I'd take.

No, each separate knockoff is still a knockoff of the original wheel. It's not like anyone's copying Rota's design.

No. The Blast is a replica of the SW-388, just like the Slipstream is.
