Default lightweight reclining seat..

Is there such an animal? I know that you can get as light as you want in a non-reclining seat, but none of the reclining ones I have seen are lighter than stock.

So is a stock Si seat the best thing going still, or are there more interesting options perhaps from other cars...

Thanks in advance

Reclining AND lightweight? Do you want to part the red sea too? hehehe j/k

I think I've seen carbon fiber Bride seats, but don't remember if they were reclining or not. I love the crx seats, though... both the dx and Si ones. They just fit me so well... the hump in the lower back of the seat is perfect for my back! I just want to re-upholster mine. I've sat in other aftermarket seats (Recaro, Corba, tenzo, obx...) and none fit me as well as the crx's does. The only thing I would change is the adjustability and maybe an arm-rest. Maybe a nice leather GS-R seat would be the answer for that? Those fit me nicely too.

Good luck finding seats!

The most comfortable racing style stock seat is the Del Sol seats. I love riding in my girlfriends Del Sol cause it feels so sporty. Just my .02 cents.

Sparco Torino is a heavy ****. So is the Recaro SRD. Stock is best if you are worried about weight

Just some info I gleaned from around the web:

Corbeau A4 - 25 lbs
Corbeau CR1 (a.k.a. Carrera) - 27 lbs
Corbeau TRS (a.k.a. Targa RS) - 27 lbs
Sparco Torino - 37 lbs

Couldn't find any info on Recaro or Momo. I did find a site that sells both Corbeau and Momo and they list the shipping weight for the various Corbeau seats and the Momo Street Racer as 30 lbs so I'm figuring the Street Racer is similar in weight.

About the Corbeaus having their names changed: I bet Porsche wasn't too happy about their trademarks being used and decided to tell Corbeau about it.

Damn, torinos ARE really heavy. And I thought that my Carreras were already really heavy.

Thanks Booty for the research. It looks like the Corbeau's are the only ones that are reasonably light. Cheaper too.

One more I found:

OMP Comfort

Weighs in at 22 lbs but they're $550 a pop. And they don't make any brackets to bolt em into a CRX.

Hey Booty, great find!! Too bad about the price and the fact they won't fit in a 'rex. I haven't weighed my stock seats yet, i have to figure out how to yank them out of the car first .

Where'd you see that? The size chart on OMP's site says 22...

http://www.omp1.com/seats.html

Probably a moot point anyway since I'm not paying that much $$ for a seat. I think I might reupholster my seats.
