EK Power Window and Locks Conversion?
why would you need to get the whole interior harness for the power locks and windows? why cant you just get a dash harness so you have power and a ground.
I got the door harness and all the regualtors in and I can hotwire the window to go up and down so that tells me all it needs is power and a ground along witha switch. the locks i am more confused about. if your going to be a **** about it I will figure it out myself to prove your homo *** wrong.

Wow, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. I merely suggested the proper way to wire up power doors, not the ghetto-rigged way you want to do. My bad, next time I'll just assume everyone knows exactly what they're doing and nobody needs any help or direction.
Have fun destroying your wiring harness.

I need a dash harness anyway cause mine is cut up.
well if you wouldnt tell me what to do and why not to do the dash it would be more helpful. Im wondering why it isnt a good idea to use your dash harness. I have to get a new one anyway and if I am going to get one I am going to get a power window and lock harness.

because its not connected in any way to the dash harness. The door harnesses in an oem configuration connect to the floor harness and the floor harness conects to the fuse box.
its all electrical so of corse you can make the windows work with just power and ground. the trouble is with the locks. the locks use a control module which alternates the power and ground of a single wire depending on the throw of the switch or twist of the key. without installing a switch for lock and another switch for unlock you wont be able to do it without the controller. and without a floor harness youll have no way of rigging that up.

You need the floor harness from an EX/Si of your year-range (ie 96-98 or 99-00) because it will plug into fuse box correctly, and it's also where the door harnesses plug in.
