Rolex 24 hours at Daytona this weekend (Jan 25-28, 2007). Anyone going?

I was thinking of going... my buddies have a friend who will be driving in it.

 

I wish I could go. I haven't been to one of the big enduros in years (Petit LeMans is the joint).

Instead we're having our 2nd annual Christmas-tree-burning party. Good times!

Nope, I went last year but I'll be camping on the river this weekend. However... Sebring is coming up and I've got the time off. I'll be there from Wednesday to Sunday!!! I can't wait to see the Acura LMP car.

 

I've done a couple of the 24 hrs at Daytona, but have never been to Sebring for the 12 hr.

Bah, Sebring is where it's at. 300,000+ strong party and beads=***** during the weekend nights.

 

Hmm, I could do that, but I'm picking up some wheels in Greensbore Saturday afternoon and dropping them off in NE Ohio.

I'd also like to bring back my turbo motor and spares, and keep Brads old motor setup with the 4.9 FD together.

I'll be bring the turbo components back to NoVA with me for disassembly and some Jet Hot black coating on the SMSP downpipe to the 3" Thermal.

O damn two motors? Thats nice. Hey sell the 4.9 FD and get the ATS cross gear set for Brads old motor.

From what I understand the 4.929 is an ATS FD.
What's different in the ACROSS geat set?

I have a fresh stock ITR tranny as a spare.

Yeah, sebring is the "Factory" Teams.....not that Nascar stuff. All the real teams do Sebring.

12 hours at sebring is said to be harder to race then 24 Daytona on drivers and car.

All new Factory and Lemans cars will be at sebring.......First race of the year.

Yup 4.9 is ATS. The different in the ATS cross gear set is the 1, 3-5 gear ratio that is different then the stock. You can uses 4.9 FD or the 4.4 FD with the cross gear set. Damn I'll just pm you anymore info you need.

 

Did anyone end up going? I was hopeing to see an itr. Wasn't lucky enough though =/
