Default D16a6 crank pulley stuck

I'm trying to get the crank pulley off of my 89 crx SI(D16A6). I took off that stupid bolt (a miracle in itself) but the pulley still will not come off. My haynes manual says that it should just slip off and not to lose the key. I also know a guy who took his off of his newer civic and he said it just slipped off.Ive puleld on it hard, rubber malleted it, kicked it, screamed at it, and nothing does the trick. Am i missing something here?? any input would be appreciated because i just want to drive the damn car

nothing is in front of it, i can physically grab the pulley and pull on it. though i cant fit a puller in there because of the frame in the way.

hit it with wd 40 and spit and curse at it.

that sounds frustrating as hell. try some heat, it might expand enough and then whack it with another mallet.

thats the best i can give you, hope it helps

wd40...brake cleaner then get two or more screwdrivers and pry it out evenly. I just had to do this like 4 days ago, and you were lucky my crank pulley bolt broke 2 craftsman ratchet wrenchs and a 1/2 drive breaker bar, but its all good because i get new ones for free

hahaha no luck, i broke like 4 extensions, but thats cuz they weren't craftsman so they instantly exploded.
I got the pulley to quit turning using a bolt in 2 of the holes on it and jammed in one of the broken extensions to keep it from turning, i pulled on it so friggin hard and wen it finally gave i went flying and landed in a bowl of old antifreeze and oil.
Ill give your idea a try, is there a way to get the stupid key out maybe? or if i wreck the key can i replace it?Id try this right now but the car isn't at my house.

propane torch the pulley, it'll expand, then you can probably just tap it off with a rubber hammer.

I was doing the exact same thing today. tapped at it with a mallet, pull around perimeter and it eventually gave, but my key came flying out. Now can someone help me with the orientation of the key so I can put it back in correctly. a picture would be greatly aprreciated. thank you

It doesnt want to budge, i think i want to jsut use a flywheel puller on it, the only problem is the frame is in the way, I'm wondering if i could undo one engine mount and lower the motor a bit safely, i probably should remove my axles first. what do you guys think?

You don't need to pull the axle to get the crank pully off!!!!
Just spray wd-40 or any penetrating oil and tap it with a hammer.
