do i need to replace the whole steering rack???

when i take turns in my crx it makes a clunking noise so i jacked it up and i can move the tie rod up and down with my hand with ease. its not the tie rod end link its moving from inside the long boot thing inside the rack. can i replace the inner tie rod if there is even one or get a whole nother rack?

Inner tie rod can be replaced

ok well i was doing some searching and seen it could be the bushing in there? how do i know whats wrong with it? its coming from the passenger side.

This has been massively covered!!! you should try searching again and I am sure you will get lost in all the info. "Tyson" comes to mind, I have seen many very technical post by him on the subject.
