Bad sound from drivers side of engine bay
My car makes a weird whirring sound, similar to the sound your car makes while accellerating in reverse, and its coming from my engine bay. It makes this noise while idling, as well as ANY time the rpms go up, whether in neutral or any gear, and the higher the rpm, the louder, as well as the higher pitched the noise is. Ive tried listening for where the sound is coming from under the engine bay, pushing the throttle in and listening for it, but i cant find out. It seems like the noise is coming from the drivers side though, but thats all i can distinguish. Any help in finding out what this may be would be greatly appreciated! thanks
i wouldn't jump the gun on this. does it have power steering fluid? buy a mechanics stethescope and listen to everything. they are very cheap and help diagnosis a

And it does have power steering fluid, and turning doesnt affect the noise at all so im pretty sure thats not the problem
