stock amplifier in 5th gen.
i recently put in an aftermarket system. i cut the remote wire coming out of the deck and ran it to my aftermarket amp.
my question is does the stock amplifier run on the remote coming out of the wiring harness? if so then i need to splice the remote back to the stock wiring harness and splice my aftermarket amp into that as well.
i appreciate any info.
thanks!

Should be. It's bolted up under the rear deck in the trunk between the speakers.
And unless your question has to do with boosting a motor or LSD's you probably wont get an answer. It seems EVERYONE on here knows about boost though they're "a year or so away from getting it installed"...

There is no stock amp in the 5th gen, there is however a little black box that helps that "acoustic feedback" system out. But I dont think its an amp at all. What I did was cut it out, look at the color wires coming from the head unit for the rear speakers and rewire it out.

It is an amp. All you have to do just bypass the factory amp. The only problem is that it will disable the acoustic feedback system.
