Default lowering

Hey i went to lower my car last night and got the front done and everything. Then i removed the upper strut bolts in the rear and went to take off the bolt that holds the lower end of the strut and it is stuck. I tried liquid wrench and then breaker bars and airtools. Any ideas? thanks

Do you mean lower rear control arms? How many miles on your ride? The control arms could be seized, and you might need to torch them out and get new ones. I bet that this is what your problem is. I was luck as hell, I just put in coilovers, and I did not need control arms, they would have been like $110, and I work at an Acura dealership. remember to get an alignment and you may need a camber kit! Good luck, hope everything works out for ya man!

Sounds like you are talking about the long bolt that connects the bottom of the rear strut to the lower control arm. If so,

Did you notice that the nut is welded onto the shock? That confused me for some time when I was doing my shocks. You have to unscrew the bolt, not the nut. The nut is welded on there.

As was mentioned just above, though, rusting and seizing seem to be big problems in that area of the car.
