Well it took a while, but I finally got an ITR shell
. Here is a lil background on my situation, I bought a yellow 01 ITR shell last year from a guy in haggerstown MD area who had the car with a lost salvage title (it was a theft recovery from NJ, I ran a carfax on it and had a friend of mine who is a police officer run it to make sure it wasnt stolen and not recovered, etc...before I bought it). I bought the car and paid a buddy with a flatbed to tow it home to me. I work at a honda dealer and started buying the parts for the 5-lug conversion brand new at my discount, bought a set of OEM ITR wheels from ebay and put the conversion on my at the time Daily driven RS while I was waiting for the insurance company that was the last titled owner of the salvage title to get back to me (they said they would be able to get a duplicate title for me in 1-2 months and that they would call me when they had it). I then made a trip to MD outside baltimore to buy ITR seats from jaa1311, thanks again, by the way
. Then I buy the CF interior pieces all brand new from honda, so now I have this ITR shell in my driveway, 5-lug set up on the shelf (i have since sold the RS and bought an 04 silverado as a Daily Driver) and a mostly complete ITR interior on the shelf as well all ready to go, then I get the word from the insurance company stating I cant get a duplicate title from them and that I would have to get it from the auction they sold it to. I called the auction, the said they sold it to a salvage yard and then that salvage yard is where it ends, They were very unhelpful and unfriendly. I then go back to the start of my search, the NJ DMV, they said they couldnt do anything for me since I wasnt a NJ resident, if I were they could title it to me through a few steps of paperwork
.
So now with that bad news I sold it to ITR.#1446 to replace his buddies wrecked PY ITR because they are NJ residents and were able to title it
Now I have all theese parts and no ITR, I then see a thread for an ITR for sale make a deal, so I thought and I would be able to get this car, now I needed a motor, I saw this thread for an 00 ITR motor with 27k miles:http://www.hondamarketplace.com/zerothread?id=1823843 and drove 6 hours to VA on a thursday night after work to pick it up from type rev.
Then the deal for the ITR chasis fell through. now I am discouraged and have a garage full of ITR parts
. I have had a thread going that I wanted to buy an ITR shell preferably in CW and that it had to have a title, then I got a responce from a guy in MD that says his friends got stolen and it was recovered stripped, he only had liability on it and that it still had a clear title and he was gonna send it to the scrap yard
. I told him not to do such a terrible thing that I would pick it up as soon as I was given the word
. The owner than sent me pics and said he wanted $300 for it, I told him I would take it asap
. He then called me on saturday and told me he had to have it out on sunday or it was going to be towed away
. I rented a dolly from good 'ol Uhaul
and proceeded on down to pick it up
. I took a few pics on the way down and back
And you know we had to stop for crabs while we were in MD by the bay
only problem we had was the snow storm on the way home
now my ITR is at home ready for the reseRection! 13x,xxx miles with a clear title

Congrats on the pickup!! She looks to be in decent shape, has all the glass and can even see the steering wheel. Big
for saving heR from the scrape yard! That would have been such a waste of a perfectly good shell! Clean title too! That'll be great for when you finish the build and need insurance.
From your avatar I take it's a 1998? Congrats again and good luck on the rebuild!! Can't wait to see heR come together!

no worrys, It will be put back to mostly stock, will upgrade the wheels eventually to some 16" advans or volks, a lil bit of suspension work like energy suspension bushings, a full body coilover and probally an autopower roll bar. I forgot to mention I have an OEM optional kit for it already
