Default top rev without a blow out

I got a buddy who wants some info on his ls motor. he did a converstion from his civic bubble to the integra front end, and just did the ls swap in it. he wants to know what the highest point of rev for that motor is. the point where he really isn't doing any harm to it but hes still getting power. basicly he wants to know what he can rev to without blowing it up?

it came out of a 97 personaly I think he'd be ok to take it up to 7500. but as long as you take care of it and don't beat it i'd say you could run 8000 just for those times you need it, anything passed that would be bad probly get some valve tap and well all that good stuff. and what more power are u going get passed that running stock internals.

Or maybe stretch a rodbolt enough to snap, spin a couple bearings.

With stock internals, you Never need it.

Nothing?

Keep it at the stock redline, of 6,800,
going past that will do nothing for your motor.

going past stock redline with a stock motor is stupid.
1. You can blow the damn thing up and then where are you?
2. Your not making any power, just noise.
3. You might blow the damn thing up.

Do not I repeat do not take it past stock redline.

i hear you guys talk about a red line at 6,800. My cars tach shows the redline at 7k and my rev limiter isnt until 7200. I think it may have been modified though, the car came with a stock ecu under one of the seats. Should i be concerned with the 7200 rev limiter and get another stock ecu? also, its a 95 ls.

no you should not be concerned cause your right rev limiter is supposed to kick in at 7200 just like all other 94 up integras do, excluding the gsr

no point to rev past 7k will in all honestly make you go slow er , unless your looking for a reason to blow it up an go vtec then your right on track 8500 or bust!

6800 is redline, 7k is fuel cut. If I had my factory brochure I'd take a picture of it for you....but since I dont, you'll just have to trust me. Either way, you stop making power around 6k, so just shift there.
