Default fuel pressure to high

Right now my fuel pressure is set at 52 (vaccum off and pinched) is that high for a 98' gsr with i/h/e? The reason I ask is sometimes the car starts hard, and only has starting doing this after installing my AEM FPR.

ya, thats too high. not sure what is a good psi for a gsr cause i have a lude, but contrary to poupler thoughts with i/h/e u dont want to raise psi, if u look at people w/v-afc and simliar devices they act. lean it out to get power. if u have an a/f gage it makes it easier, but if not try turning it down and see how this feels, then check your plugs to make sure your not lean, then repeat till it feels the strongest and your plugs arent white, a sign of running lean.

btw- go ahead and check ur plugs now, if they are black thats a sign of running heavily rich. u are supposed to turn the car off at wot to check plugs, but i dont know how important it is to do that.

What other stuff do you have?

Increasing pressure is usually a forced induction related thing...

Mine with the line on is 42 with line off and pinched its 52. I dont think that is the problem, this is what I noticed when put the key on and turned if over to acc. The fuel pump started and the fuel pressure when to 40, but then it started to drop, down to 0. Is that normal? If not now whats the problem...the only thing that is installed for fuel is a pressure gauge and the aem fpr.
