Am I crazy
I've put my R on Ebay.
I know, I know, what am I thinking right. But anyway I keep getting this low ball offers. I was once offered a 99 cavilier and 3grand. WTF! The last one was 7500. The titles rebuilt but I dont see that hurtin what its worth too much, do you? If I dont sell it Im going to just keep buildin on it and give it to my kids someday, if i have any. So what do you think its worth anyway.

Atleast 10k?

That guys offer is a bit ridulous! Usually when I see jdm front I think that the car has been in an accident! I know this is not always the case tho.
Having a clean title is actually a bigger deal than you may think! A lot of people in the market won't even look twice at a car without a clean title unless they are building it for track only!
Good luck finding a buyer!

if you dont need the money or the space....then keep it...ive had my shell for 2 years and still havent even driven it..its gotten towed more in the last 2 years than me driving it...but i still luv her 2 death..no other fwd honda can compre to the type r..even though its a salvage title and isnt going to be worth as much as a clean title...
cuz the insurance company wont pay the full price to get it repaired since another company paid for it once already...so someone dosent want to spend a bunch of money on it & have someone steal it and only get back half the money they spent for it..which i completley understand...so keep it i say...like i read most of the threads on here and some ppl regert selling it and miss it

Thanks for your input! I may just keep it. Puts some cams in it and some gold advan's like i was gonna. What sucks the dealership did even tell me when i bought it. I was in a hurry to get it and got to exicted when I found out I got approved. I just found out the other day about the title. I still love it to death. Its fast, fun and I think it looks pretty good so far.

Wait a minute, you bought this car thinking it had a clean title and found out after the fact that it was salvage? Probably should have done your home work and not been in such a hurry
. I'm trying to sell my 98 M3 which was in one minor accident and its already turned away some would-be-buyers. Salvage title is an entirely different can of worms.

Not sure about the laws in your state, but in WI the dealership MUST disclose that information.

I dont know. It was three years ago. I dont know where it was hit or any thing. Carfax just says it has a rebuilt title and was rebuilt in Tenn. It was bought new in PA then wrecked, then to Tenn, then to OH dealership where I got it. I have an asso. degree in automotive tech and 6 ase and I cant tell. I had to be minor. I also got ripped on my trade. I had a 94 ls with 18's and new toyos i paid 1800 buck for. I had just little stuff done but it was clean, They only gave me like 2600 for it. I was a dumbass, but I was a dumbass with a R!
Nights not that bad with the tint, 6K hids do wonders. Its the backing up part that sucks.

uhm,
Its called the Consumer protection Act.. the dealership by LAW must tell you about the cars history, ESPECIALLY if it is a SALVAGE TITLE.
You purchased the car for an xxx amount of dollars believing something else, therefor you got ripped off!
Not only can you get your full refund back for the car, but you can also sue, and the dealership can get in alot of trouble with the vehicle council committe
But being it has been 3 years.. i dont know if u have anything to work on anymore though..
i assume you are a young inexperienced buyer...
SALVAGE means FUCKED.. salvage titles are NOT put on cars with 1-3k worth of damage.. it must have been EXTENSIVE!
= why you got a jdm front, and a realigned frame no doubt

O'well. I paid 16,700 for it. It was my first car I got on my own. Even people at school never said anything about damage. I had it in for an alignment, oil changes, all kinds of stuff. I'll just eat it I guess. I bought it with a usdm front. I had the front done last summer.
