is it charging?????????

how do i know if my alternator is charging my battery

start the car then disconect the pos batery terminal the car runs off the alternator not the battery. battery is just used to start it.

You can also check it with a screwdriver. Move screwdriver to the back of the Alt and see if there is magnetism. (if the screwdriver sticks to the back then it is charging)
