Default bypass/remove of steering wheel mechanical lock on Civic 2002

Hello,
I have a Honda civic 2002 with remote start and fingerprint keyless ignition system.
All you have to do in order to start the car is just get it and press your finger to the scanner and the car will start.
But the problem is that the car has mechanical wheel lock.

Is there any way to bypass or remove this lock without breaking it so I could later on just put it back when I sell my car????

Thank you,
Natanel.

Thought about trying the key?

Oh, and you're not going to get any help when you don't properly explain yourself and it sounds like you're up to no good.

I tought of making a duplicate key without the transponder chip and to put it on ACC for good (I will unplug the main harness from the wheel) so basicly the switch will be useless.

anyway does it sounds o.k to you???

p.s I will hide the main harness somewhere in the main console so if a thief will try his luck he will have some hard time.

O.k I'll start over.

I have bought the identisafe 09 from UNITED LINKERS.

What it does is:

start your car by pressing your finger to the scanner.

But the problem is that I must have the key in the ignition because of the mechanical wheel lock.

So I've tried to find a way to remove/bypass the spring inside the lock but I can't see how without breaking it.

So my last resort is to unplug the main ignition harness (green plug) from the steering wheel and by doing that i'm disabling the ignition (even if you turn the key the car will not start) and leave one chipless key in the ignition for good!!!

What do you think???

Natanel.

Like I said, I think you can't because the entire ignition is built around the anti-theft system. No key=no steering wheel. So I figure unless they make an entire steering column to go with it probably not. Thats what I think. Im usually wrong.

I hope you didn't pay anywhere near the $900 price tag that's on their website.... Especially when you could have better security with a couple of well hidden kill switches...

You do know that fingerprint scanners have been proven to work with a photocopy, right??

Anyways, how does that system interface with your vehicles transponder key immobilizer? I don't see anything resembling a bypass module, unless it's built into the system's brain?

As far as your wheel lock goes, will breaking it really matter?? I wouldn't disconnect the switch, since it'll be your backup when that fingerprint unit fails to you won't get stranded somewhere...

This is a built-in safety device. Perhaps other forums will answer your question, but I won't allow that here due to the theft rate of Hondas.

Your question is probably legit, but the manufacturer of the add-on device should provide you with answers.
