Apex'i vs. Tein vs. T1R
Coilovers...I'm wanting the best bang for the buck.
The Apex'i ExV is 32 way adjustable
The Tein Flex is 16 way adjustable
The T1R B-Max is 4 way adjustable
All are under $1400 from my source, http://www.springrates.com
There are other variations as well, but from experience over time, which do you think is the BEST? I want these babies to last. I've heard the Tein's can start to wear out fairly early. I've heard the Apex's won't, but i know nothing about the T1R's.
Help!

I have the tein ss. They feel pretty smooth compared to stock as for ride comfort, the only downside to lowering the s2000 was bumpster and the camber. Correcting this cost 1500 with quality parts. I'm thinking spc balljoints and j's racing toe adjusters though

Having 32 way adjustability is pointless. Why would you need all that dampening for?
T1R hands down.

Apex'i works fine as street coils, I had to jump 4 steps on the dampers to be able to feel any change. I've since switched to something with better damping.

I like the 32 way for fine tuning...I AM an autocrosser, ya know? I'm a picky one at that. The more tuning you can do, the more you can balance the car out.
That's my reasoning for wanting all the adjustability.

But what's the point of 32 way adjustability when you have to go 4-5 clicks or more before there is any real difference in damping? I had Tein Flex on my itr and had to change about four clicks before there was any difference; then switched to Spoon N1 on same car and liked the 5 way adjustables better for autocross. Of course if there were 32 way adjustables that actually had 32 levels of noticeable adjustment that would be better, but it seems not to be the case in most instances.

take Zeal for example, 6 ways and some of the best off the shelf money can buy. T1r seems to put tons of research into their parts, so personally, I would go with T1rs
The reason for all the adjustability is for fine tuning...just cuz you can't feel the difference doesn't mean there isn't one. If you want to make a small adjustment without upsetting the balance of an already well setup car, then 32 way adjustment can come in quite handy. One "click" on a four way adjustable suspension can be too much. I only know because I've used a 4 way adjustable suspension before.
There is a good piont about the Zeal coilovers, and their 6way adjustability, but again, I want to get the most out of my money.
I don't mean to sound hard headed, but what I really want are reasons why people like/dislike what they use.(i.e. one guy said the cheaper Tein units wear out in a short period of time, therefore, I won't be purchasing them.)
Doesn't really sound like you have any personal experience with the T1R setup, either, so what I need is an opinion from someone that has it, or has ridden in a car with it.
