If odometer is reading high, it's also going to record a higher mileage.
BTW, there is a class action suit against Honda for odometer innacuracies of about 3%. Probably doesn't apply to your vintage vehicle though. Don't expect to get any $ out of it, unless you got charged for excess mileage when you surrendered a leased vehicle. The lawyers, of course, get all the bucks.
