1997 SUZUKI bandit 600s... beginner bike?
Sorry to ask bout suzuki on a honda forum but im always here. I wanted to know if its a good beginner bike. Also the guy that is selling it says that there is a cold start problem. Sometimes it turns on and sometimes it dosent. Could this be anything serious? I dont plan on paying much for it so if its something small I would like to know relativly quick so I can buy it. Thanks for your help.

I think it would be an OK beginners bike
With a jet kit, the cold start problem would go away. It has very lean factory jetting.

2000 GSF1200S Bandit
Vance & Hines Full Exhaust
Stage 2 jet kit
JE 11:1 Pistons
etc. etc

yes it would be a good bike in the fact that it doesnt have 4grand in oem plastics on it if ya drop it. Get some frame sliders too for when ya drop it. It will save in broken levers, bent bars, save the tank and frame.

man you people are nuts... my starter bike was a 1982 Honda FT500 ASCOT. Single cylinder 500cc, in the range of 22-27hp... all of you with your talk about starting on a Gixxer 600.... craziness... I say if you've NEVER ridden before, get a bike you wont mind laying down. just my $.02
