What's the difference between a type R head and SI head???

besides cams and valvetrain, what's the difference and why would someone want to buy one over the other....

also do these heads have any markings do distinguish one from another?

exactly the same cept type r head is mildly polished

97s were hand polished the rest machined, that's it, which shouldn't matter much to you anyways keith considering what you're doing with the motor right now..

Lost motion assemblies.

Also make sure you have an ITR intake manifold not a B16 SI/Del Sol one.
