Honda Civic Ex or Mini Cooper S?
ok so my friend is getting a 2006 mini cooper s for his fist car in a month, and of course were very competitive and want to know who's car would win, i already know that his probably would, but what would i need to have under the hood to win against his stock mini cooper s?
A turbo ! Much more performance oriented car tuned by the Germans.

but would i be better going with an ajp turbo or an red shift motor sports supercharger?</TD></TR></TABLE>
This is the second time I've seen someone mention a supercharger for the FG1... does one even exist or are people getting confused with the k20 SC?

most definitely a new mini cooper type S.
have you seen the improvements they made on it?
lighter engine, better gas mileage for both S and non-S. Larger - slightly wider, taller, longer. Better handling, etc. more personalizing options.

yes their is a supercharger coming out for the FG1 go to redshiftmotorsports.com
and im know about the new mini's but im not talking about the 2007 one's.
hes getting a 2006. only the new 2007 ones have the bigger engine and are turbo
so im talking about a 2006 honda civic ex vs. a 2006 mini cooper s

I'd like to see the rich little **** that gets a MINI cooper S for his first car. He'll probably crash it in a month. Reminds me of the kids in my hs.
Just drive carefully with your first car and give him the finger when you pass by his totalled car. Open the sunroof on your EX and shout "I get 30 mpg and I don't crash into ****...bitch!"

S/C 2006 Cooper S = 214 hp and 184 ft/lb. torque. And it's lighter than the EX i believe. If he gets that car OP you're screwed.
You'll need more than just a turbo to take that thing out.

No.
The JOhn Works edition had that kind of power, but the regular S had the 168hp. The John Works package was like a $4k option.

Then again if he were really rich he should just toss the Cooper into a lake and get an M3.

Actually the crash test ratings are the same if not better for the Bmw mini that the civic i believe.
