Default Civic suspension

I have searched but all I come up is forums about lowering a car. I have a 95 Civic and I want to stiffen up the ride so it will perform better. I do not want to lose my ride quality.

I would like to start with springs and struts first.

Make a long story short the engine will be getting some mods later but you need to have a better suspension before you can go fast.

So, whats up. Can somebody lead me the right way?

Any help would be great or links to a forum.

Best bang for the buck.............FLAME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hell, I don't know......Let's see.......how about 600.00

I am not lookng for the greatest suspension just something that is proven to work.

Yes, my searching sucks.....everything I read about is.... try this or try that...I did this you should try that

Been there..done that on other projects

I've seen great improvements with Ground Control coilovers on shocks good as Konig Yellows to Tokico Blues.

I'd do the medium and do those with like KYB AGXs. Or I think Skunk2 came out with a new strut.

ST's new Coilovers rock, there made by KW in Germany. http://www.stsuspensions.com They go for around 7 or so. Buy the time you buy a decent sleeve type set up and a good set of shocks you will be near coilover money, better buying a matched tuned set up.

Ok, now I have a few ideas. So I can go with coilovers for about 600.00...cool. Now SkoundreUSA, you mentioned some struts and spring combo that you thought worked pretty well. That set up sounds like I could do that for under 600.00....sweet. That is what I am looking for. Will I still keep and decent ride quailtiy with that set up? Thanks

Don't think I want to do the whole coilovers right now. Maybe later.. This way I have decent suspension and can start some engine mods.

The first step to improving your suspension is by replacing all of your oem bushing with energy polyurethane bushings. Buy the master kit which includes most all bushings for your year of car. You wont regret this. I have installed mine and love it. Ask anyone who actually knows suspension and the bushings are as important as the rest of your suspension

You should add or change your sways if you don't already have some. Most significant addition to your new struts and springs. So should look into some front and rear sways with lcas.

if you want to keep ride quality you should stick to oem or ajustable coil overs with ride dampering are good as well. i just put some mugen struts on my eg6 and they feel like ****, they do however handle very well.

KYB AGX + Skunk2 C/O. You can find the shocks for cheap off ebay(i did and have had them for 3+ years no problem) and you can find the skunk2 c/o's anywhere. should come out to a lil under 600
