how much dose honda charge for a compression test?
I have no idea how much any place would charge for a compression test, but I'd take it to a good small service statation instead of a meat-market dealer.

so would a regular lube station know what their doing or some place alittle more techincal like a small auto repair shop? any input would be really great... thanks
Not a lube place like Jiffy Lube, but a good "mom & pop" shop or good gas/service station. Though I've never done it, around here I could probably pull into a gas station that looks like it has a good garage and a mechanic would probably just do a comp test with me standing right there for like 20 bucks. Maybe even 10 bucks or free.

$20 or $30 for a compression guage and $50 to $60 for a leakdown test setup.
