Drop it already!
Whats up... I have been contemplating on how to give my 03 Civic a nice drop in suspension..
Should I go Coil-overs or get springs...
And am I going to need to purchase After market shocks?
I am a little confused on the whole process..
If you've got any advice let me know...

Your options are pretty diverse, and it all depends on what you're desired result is.
First off, you're going to want to Search next time, because this has been covered on multiple occasions.
Secondly, based on what you're desired result is, there are 3 different ways to go.
▪ Coilovers: a full replacement McPherson strut with adjustable height springs for the front, with a full replacement spring over shock body in the rear.
▪ Coilover Sleeves: much like the Coilovers, they're height adjustable. But, these are a separate piece requiring shocks for the rear and struts for the front. Do NOT go with stock shocks/struts on a lowered stance, because they will blow out.
▪ Lowering Springs: the cheapest option of the three, offering the least amount of adjustability. It'll be a preset height drop, and will also require aftermarket shocks/struts.
Regardless of what you choose, you will most likely need a rear camber kit, and quite possibly a front camber kit as well. After that you'll definitely need an alignment.
I personally went with F2 (Function and Form) Coilovers, for the sake of them being well-built, having camber plates for the fronts, and open availability for custom spring rates.

You technically could install them, but I would strongly suggest against it. Reason being, if you ride at a lower height than stock, on the stock shocks/struts, you're going to blow them in a short amount of time. Also, buying from eBay, unless it's a name brand product that isn't just a "bargain product", will lead to possible injury, due to faulty construction. There's a good reason why eBay products are so cheap, it's because they're not safe and aren't considered by any real tuner, to be a choice at all. Either save up for something decent, or don't buy anything at all.

Why don't you tell us what you are going to do with your car. What's the point in getting $1500 coilovers recommended to you if all you do is drive the car on the street?
Same goes for lowering springs if you are going to track your car a lot.
