A lot of autocrosses around here youd dont need a cage to run in. Some places a cage bumps you into a different class (a hell of alot faster). If this is your street car I wouldn't do it unless you want to wear a helmet everywhere you go. Just something to bang your bare head off of in a wreck. I was going to do an autopower until I was made aware or this. I guess more dangerous than not having one if you arent wearing a helmet. My 2cents. Is this a track only car?

If this car is going to be your daily I would just run rollover protection which would consist of a main hoop behind the seat and then two legs to the rear strut towers, basic 4pt.

I think you need to know what you want to do before you weld in a cage. "meets and tracks to run in" <----tells me nothing.

Who are you going to have put in the cage? Why not get a custom piece that is made for your car, it will be better and most times less cost and more protection. JMO

instead of everyone baggin on him and asking him what type of car, racing, etc.

just answer the damn question. he wants to know if the quality of the construction is worth the price.

i would say it is.

i agree with streetwerkz....

i run a rear-section 6 point on the street. it makes my car safer. my head cannot hit it, at all, unless my seat completely rips out of the floor.

i'd say the full race cage is a good deal...for the quality, and for ease-of-install (knowing full-race, i'm sure it fits beautifully)

if the car is super clean..... i would say $5,000 is a fair price.

but, honestly..... $3,000 max is what i would pay for something like that.

pictures please.

that "cage" looks like it going to need A LOT of extra welding to fit properly, especially wherever it attached to the chassis. civic and crx floors are different as well. to make it for both means the fitment is questionable. seems like youre just paying them to ship you a prebent main hoop and a few tubes with notched ends.

its not worth $800 plus shipping.

youre better off with a bolt in 4 point from autopower or kirk racing. theyre cheaper too. and get one with a diagonal. it will be better than the two forward arms, and wont get in your way. a good rollbar is all you need.

not trying to hijack this thread but the only reason im getting a role cage is because of stupid drivers out there. i've been t-boned twice over people runnin lights or a stop sign. especially with a CRX, its so tiny, im stripping mine appart for paint and its pretty much nothing protecting you. so that encouraged me even more to get a role cage. just my opinion

4 pnt would be a good choice. 800 $ sounds high, but if you got the cash, then go for it. art morrisson sell rollcage kits i beleive. http://www.artmorrison.com/rollcage/stripbars.cfm
alot cheaper if your gonna weld it in, and do all the work.

I think autopower makes a "you weld it together" kit as well. Most likely a bolt in cage is the way to go. Otherwise check around and see if someone can build you a weld in. It costs alot to ship a cage kit, so most likely it would be cheaper locally. I think $800 is a lot for a kit that still requires a fair amount of work just to get in the car.
