Okay.
So, I go to turn my car on, and its warm....it starts right up.
If i let if sit for a few hours in the 16 degree temperatures we are dealing with right now...it acts funny.
I put the key in, and go to start it.... all my lights work, cd player turns on, everything. I can even hear a humming sound, which i assume is my pump priming. I hear the typical clicks and all the doo dad's and gizmos working.
While holding the key to "start"...the CEL stays on. But then goes out. Now sometimes, after the CEL goes out...i wait 2 seconds and the car starts right up. No hesitation, no cranking problems, no spark problems.
Sometimes the CEL goes out and it doesn't start at all. Then I repeat the whole process over again....CEL shows up, goes out...2 seconds later the car starts. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 times.
Yesterday night, I was hold the key to "start" positioned my shifter into 2nd, let the clutch out and then disengaged the clutch again.... and the car started. WIERD.
I just had the clutch replaced, along with the shift fork, slave cylinder and flywheel. Is it possible that the switch that sees that my clutch isn't disengaged....therefore not allowing my car to start?
The more and more that I think about it. In the past, everytime I go to start the car without having the clutched disengaged...the same thing happens.
So could it be my ecu isn't reading that my clutch is disengaged therefore not even attempting to start the car?
