Default Ignition problem

My D15B (obd1) has a VERY WEAK spark on all 4 cylinders, it's almost non existant, i've checked the plugs, the wires, all are in good condition. I've checked the spark gap between the dizzy cap and the wires, and i can bareley see it it jumps like 1mm if that. My question is what could be the cause of this ? I have the wiring diagrams and proper tools to check the resistance of coils, etc... But i don't know what the resistance should be. I'm also getting a code after about 2mins of the engine running, but i can't get this code because the moron who swapped the engine somehow lost the jumper to retrieve the codes (Any ideas on how i can ge tthe codes out w/o the jumper??)

What should i check? I don't want to buy a new distributor if i don't need one, i think it's just a weak primary ignition coil, i just wanted you guys' input - 2 heads better than one, no ?

Thanks, andre
