IACV cleaning didnt work!!
so i took of my IACV and clean it out but, my car is still surgin rapidly from 1500 rpms to 5 or 400 rpms... when i took it of it didnt have the round gasket on it but i took it of my old head that had a manifold on it to put on my skunk 2 manifold on my type r head.... but it didnt have the gasket b4 and it worked fine.... this whole problem started after i put my new head on... any1 got any other ideas???
Try cleaning ur FITV, do a search if u want to know how to clean it. It's the fast idle thermo valve located on the throttle body.
Vacuum leak or wiring issue. Cover the 2 holes on the throttle body and if the car doesn't die then its a vacuum leak. Unplug the IACV and see where the baseline idle is set.

I had loads of idle surging last year when put in a jrsc. My tuner tried configing my hondata, but what really worked was unscrewing the idle screw on the throttle body. He unscrewed it A LOT (not just a couple turns, ALOT of turns) but he told me if the idle started going back to surging, then its time for a new IACV. So, it fixed the problem and my idle didnt fall below 1K rpms, until recently. Now im biting the bullet and getting a new IACV, should be in this week, ill reply how my idle is after.
