4 door si traction control?
well 2nite we had outlaw drags at our track and my friend just got a 4 door si and it was stalling off the line so i jump in and discover that it has a traction control utton i turned it off and then it ran great! i was wondering if the new coupes have this or just the sedan!he went from a 16.7 to a 16 flat not bad for stock!
um. very bad for stock. should be in the 15s atleast. theres guys on 8th civ forum running 14s stock. given its a coupe, but the 4dr is not that much heavier. just my .02 oh ya, by the way my friend has a 4dr lx. 15.6
Wow that is...terrible. I know your climate is humid.... but that is still bad.
All 07's have the VSA function in the vehicle.

Like was said that is very bad for stock, even with traction control on it should have gone much faster. Heck my automatic EX ran 16.8

So is it more efficient to turn off or turn on the VSA when you are in a drag race?

yes better. Honda VSA has TCS. so if the computer notices wheel spin, its gonna slow it down, to control it.

It's on many FWD cars and has been for years. It's also something you have to have to have vehicle stability control which is why it's on the Civic.

Yeah but i still can't justify the extra grand for the feature. The benefits are good, but it just seems to me that many people wouldn't need it if they just paid a little more attention to driving conditions such as not driving over an icy bridge at the speed limit.

The world wouldn't have accidents if everyone paid attention, that will never happen. That feature is also going to be made mandatory by the goverment in a couple of years so even if you can't justify it, it's going to be on the car. Just be happy you can disable it.

Yes but will the feature still be able to be disabled once the gov't makes it mandatory? If not then that's really gonna suck for drag racers.
