Default Z6 intake manifold and TB on a D16A6

sup every1. Here's the deal, I'm looking to build a nice D16A6 n/a set-up. So far i've got the usual bolt-ons + a chipped ECU.

question is, I have access to a blown D16Z6 motor and was wondering if anyone knew if the Z6 intake manifold and TB fits the D16A6. And if it does, will it increase performance for my CRX if swapped on?

i believe it does bolt on. it flows better than the stock d16a6 manifold. tb is slightly larger i could be wrong. it'll fit tho.

..it'll bolt up fine..you'll just have to extend a sensor or two...like the MAP sensor is on the tb, etc...

you will also have to port match the head cuz the Z6 runners have larger diameters than the A6. if you don't do this, you might as well stick with the A6 intake manifold. also you can't use the OBD1 injectors, use the stock Si injectors and extend some wires (as mentioned)

easy swap.just extend the map sensor wires.and get rid of the fast idle control selonoid.its better than the a6 but not as good as the y8.another plus is that you can go aem fuel rail and fuel pressure regulater or dc or what ever.no one makes anything for the a6 intake.

If you can.. you'll want to go with the Y8 intake manifold cause it flows better... Another thing is that the Y8 and the A6 have the same amount of collant lines, but the Z6.. you'll end up having to plug one line.. not cool.

if you live where its hot dont use you throttle body coolant lines.
think about it 200 degrees going through you tb,no way.
its only used to heat it up it cold *** wheather.

and you said yuo had access to a z6 motor...just do the whole swap...you'll be alot happier
