i put in a new battery for my friend in his prelude and now it says "code error"
i called the dealer and they told me that they need a serial number for my stereo. i checked his glove box and the console by the hand brake but couldn't find anything. any thoughts on how to get the code for a 2001 prelude se?

on my Civic the code is in my owners manual

 

there was a radio code thread i think floating around the audio forum.. someone was able to look up the code with the serial from the radio

 

yeah you have to take the radio out to get the serial number off of it.

 

what if you have the serial number... how to u make out the code from the serial number ?

 

you call a honda dealership with yoru vin# and your stereo #
