When i'm driving in 4th and stepping on the gas with a constant pressure around 3500-4000 rpm, my car like bogs and just feels like theres no power. I'm going at a steady speed and all of a sudden it feels like my gas is cut off, and my car just loses power. It's somewhat analogous to the breaks being enaged very slighly for only a second. It only happens like once in the morning. I only have around 9300 miles on my car and drive I drive it normally. I do mash my car every now and then, but I don't work my car to the max or anything, like redlineing every gear, powershifting, and double clutching.

 

By the way....I was wondering if you guys know whats wrong with my ride? Can it be a problem with the tranny? Thanks for the help.

 

does it bog down at anyother time? or only in 4th gear?

 

It just happens in 4th....around 2500-3000 rpm...

 

mine does something kind of like what youre describing, but in all gears.....im thinkin distributor....anyone else have an idea?

 

I get hesitation like that mostly when my engine gets hotter. If its hot outside or after sorta hard driving I notice hesitation fairly often. I can get it in all gears too. It probably comes down to the distributor, plugs or wires I'm thinking. I really should do some maintenance on those things soon.

Maybe we should run one step colder plugs....?
