air intake installation
I just recently bought a cold air intake for my 88 hatch. Its a no-brand intake because I had little money to spend. I recieved it recently and dont know how to put it together. Dont have much information about it, so any help would be great.
Um.....wow
Anyways,
1) Remove stock airbox
2) Remove stock airtube
3) Attach really long piece of CAI to throttle body
4) Use silicon coupler and two clamps
5) Attach filter to remaining piece using one clamp
6) Remove fender well lining near bumper
7) Find hole left by stock airbox, insert CAI extension into hole.
8) Attach the two pieces using silicon coupler, two clamps.
9) Reattach fender well lining.

is it a cold air? mine was so low that i hit a bump on the freeway and the filter got stuck in the wheel well. it was bolted on right but that flex tube sucked the big one. I ended up using some wire to tie it in place down below.
if you are still stuck, post a pix of it and we'll piece it together, its simple

Thanks for all the feedback. Yeah the only problem I have is with all the fittings. Just not sure what goes where. I will try to post some pics of it.
So I successfully installed my cold air intake without any instructions and without any knowledge whatsoever. I was told I had to take off the bumper in order to pull out the air box next to the fender wall. I did it by going through the turn signal hole, it was a bitch though.
