Default From Ghettofit to Retrofit – Caveman style

So some may remember this

It's my first ever retrofit and that **** is NOT EASY, but a fun project if you have the time to learn. Well, my first retrofit wasn't a complete failure, just had the function with no form. And I was okay with this... well one day (to cut a long story short) I took out my headlights and decide that I would re do them with shrouds... I really like the shrouds I've seen on all the other retros.. but I rarely have the time to work on projects that involve time and patience because of school and work

So Kevin (caveman) and I worked something out to where he helped a brotha out!! (Thanks again kevin!!) And like said in one of his threads, pics don't do justice here and the camera I'm using is nothing special

ps. You'll also noticed I swapped in the color matched Si grill too!

enough talk, here's the pics!!

Sent to me w/out the cover pieced attached... on my original retro, I left the amber corners out... it was okay but i like it much better w/the amber corners

What it would have looked like if I had him seal it up

A little before pic (yes thats a fat *** rock dent in the hood, commuting owns my ***)

Some hours later

And some day pics from today, will get cut off pics later if you guys want to see them, just ask (suppose I could have had them last night, but i was busy drinkin and smokin the killa)

I left the OEM foglights in instead of getting another set of 2500k yellow bulbs, I actually like the look the OEM fogs + retro

OEM TSX HID projector
OEM S2000 DS2 bulbs
OEM S2000 ballast
OEM S2000 Igniter
OEM S2000 connecting wire
Xenon Depot 9006 to DS2 conversion harness (modified)

IIRC OEM bulbs are 4300k

it all depends on who you buy and what you buy... if you go to http://www.hidplanet.com they have everything you need for $399 + shipping

all you need at that point is to just DIY it yourself (if you can afford downtime on ur car) or purchase a spare set of headlamp assemblies and work with those, or you can PM caveman74 or visit customlightz.com and get the work done for you

the reason it cost so much is because it's damn well worth it when done properly. The reason PnP kits cost so little is cuz they're "PLUG N PLAY" no modifying needed because essentially all you doing is replacing the stock bulbs with ANOTHER set of stock bulbs that have ballast connecting to it providing the bulb with more power than is needed in a halogen base headlight

PM Caveman74, he'll do a better job than I can lol

Yeah I had talked to customlightz and retro-solutions months ago when I was going to go ahead and do it.

My other big problem is being in Canada with our dollar value and also new headlights cost $278 CAN each.
