clamp it
money is tight for me and my ef is not quite low enough it is stock except for short throw exhaust and intake i want it to ride with bottom of fender right above tire i have coil spring clamps to use 10 bucks at my job as parts store punk think this will work if i can clamp three coils any opinoin is welcome
i was thinking of doing this to mine for a temporary fix, hate the 4x4 height.
i dont see why it wouldnt work or be unsafe as long as the clamps are strong enough to do the job. the spring rate would probably be the same as stock tho so you might bottom out easier if you take it too low..
ever think about those ebay coilovers? the sleeved ones that fit on your std shocks?

I tryed clams and they are noisy every bump they hit and they are really hard to get on and tightened down. They did lower the car down a good bit I only clamped two coils.
I no longer run them I uped to the lowering springs much much quieter.
