Default Depot Fog LIght KIt Questoin

WTF I just bought this fog light kit and the light sucks ***. They are the brand Depot, is this a good brand? My question is how do you get that real yellow look with these things without doing a retro? What bulbs can i use to get a brighter shine other than the ones it came with? The bulbs are H3........thanks in advance

the brand is pretty good. when you say yellow, is thr bulbs yellow or you mean the lenses? and factory or factory style foglights aren't that bright.

IDK, higher wattage bulb with a harness adaptor so you dont melt your wires.

DEPO makes the best quality replica lights for all cars. Don't bash a product because you don't know what your doing. I am more than happy with my depo fogs

if you have a DEPOT brand rather than a DEPO brand then you do have something unheard of... LOL

I've had both DEPO and Esuse brand foglights for my '98 Civic. The Esuse are much higher in quality.

Some of the issues I dealt with when I had my DEPO foglights on my car included:
- multiple lose grounds
- bulb exploded
- moisture inside the lens (sat inside house for three months and didn't even go away)

Finally the screw that holds down the clip for the bulb snapped off in the housing and I gave in and picked up some Esuse brand foglights. I have never been happier.

The Esuse brand foglights on the '96-'98 cars also hook straight into the factory wiring harness already on the car (just like the stock foglights do). The DEPO ones have their own wiring which seems subpar.

If you want a brighter light then you're not going to want to go with a yellow bulb. The yellow bulb will decrease the amount of light put out. If you do want them to be yellow you could either put in yellow bulbs or paint them though. I've heard of many people doing both in the past.

I'm guessing swap out the bulbs or go with the jdm foglights? iono, there's a guy down the street from my house thath as bright *** foglights(enough to blind oncoming drivers). I also have depos and don't think they suck but rather are just good enough for me. Have you considered an HID conversion(headlight)? I mean, the depos even at their brights aren't going to give off great distance because of the height at which they are installed.

If distance is what you want, i'd go with an hid retrofit(headlamp).
If you're fine with your headlights, then just try the piaa h3's

for starters try a better bulb, like a raybirg, piaa h4.

second if you couldnt hook up this kit with no problems, maybe you should give up being a mechanic.

Frying the relay is a common problem. I recommend mounting it near the battery and away from the edge of the engine bay(water seeps in). That's what happened after my install and the relay fried after the first carwash.

You can pickup another relay at autozone for like 5bucks(if you haven't checked)
