Got my new headers installed finally! I've waited months. My OEM header was cracked completely around the number 4 cylinder tube. Exhasut smoke would get into my interior so I would have to drive around with the climate control on re-circulation mode qhich makes the air so stuffy inside, and ahrd to clear the windows. I could turn it off re-circulate mode but i'd poisen mysself with those exhaust gasses from the cracked header.
The upstream 02 sensor didn't even budge out even when we got it red-hot! had to get a new 02 sensor. Start it up, wow it's alot quieter than my cracked header! Taking off gradulally in 1st sounds remincent of a Type-R ( you ca hear the exhaust valves better due to the new headers being a thinner material than stock cast-iron which quiets it even more.
When in 3rd or 4th gear and I want to accelerate, i'd floor it instead of down-shifting and I could feel the motor going better than before. The bottom end tourque definatly improved. The top-end I felt with smooth, seemless power and silky VTEC transitions.
About color changing on the stainless steel, i was told on HT that they turn a nice bronze color when you wipe em with WD-40. They did turn bronze within just a couple mins. Tried to polish of the bronzing with Mother's polish, the color does not come off it stays which is no problem just trying it.

It costed approximatly only $60.00!!
The guy i bought it from is JSAuto Accessories
http://stores.ebay.ca/JSAuto-Accessories
I will try to take some more updated pics tommorow of the bronzed color. I can definatly feel the differnce in the pedal. will not throw you back in your seat like a $5,000 turbo of coarse but definatly makes a differnce you can notice ,worthwhile and worth the money

not exactly sure but I believe it blends blue and purple. i thought my header would turn blue, maybe not yet, maybe cause i wiped em with wd-40. either way im' happy with the bronzed finish

Oh yeah if anyone's thinking of Cermaic headers. I wanted them too! why didn't i get them?
Did alot of research, turns out ceramic is more prone to cracking. I definatly do not want that even though some say it has thermal properties. even if it's a cheap header, my buddy had brand new $350 DC-Sports 4-1 ceramic headers on his B18C5 swapped 00 SI and they cracked within a month!
I felt more safer getting stainless steel, nice bling factor also

yeah stock exhaust for sure, I like my stock exhaust system so far. nice and quiet, feels like not too much restriction either, just the right amount of backpressure. gotta love Hondas OEM exhaust system. I wouldn't have even touched my stock headers if they weren't leaking. I must admit these aftermarket headers really free-up some hiddin power I've been waiting to find.

You g2 understand, it's what is all intents and purposes a STOCK D-series motor - it's just NOT worth paying 350 for a DC Sports header, Ebay on stock D-series FTW!!!!
I'm all for that, only reason mine's not free, is because somebody GAVE it to me...and free > ebay > DC Sports (in terms of stock d-series motors).
I mean if you wanna spend say 50 bucks on an ebay header that nets you say...5hp......or pay 260 on a DC Sports header that gives you 6.5 or 7hp.
D-series motors don't respond well to bolt-ons, not worth wasting all your money on.
I mean ****, 4 DC-Sports headers and you can start your own budget turbo....

Heres a picture of the stanless steel slightly bronzed now. I just polished off the fingerprints etc off lastnight with mother's polish. The bronze will npot polish off but that's no problem I like the color.
