Machine shop questions?
im hoping to drop my block off at the machine shop monday
and i was wondering if anybody might have an idea of what im gonna be paying
im having the block bored out .25 for oem os jdm itr pistons, and i want to have my crank checked out to see if its still any good( i spun a rod bearing)
and if its ok, i was gonna have it micro polished and balanced
i was hoping to get some numbers from people who have gotton these things done before

i got my block and head fully disassembled and re-assembled for 500 bux canadian dollars
my head needed some fixing. it was leaking, cleaned out the valve, install new valve trains, valve stems
got new rod bearings installed, bore/hone out .25 mm, re-size the rod for arp bolt

i was goin to call a few shops first before i just showed up and dropped of a block and crank
i was just thinking about it right now and was wondering how much im lookin at
the blocks goin to be fully disassembled when i drop it off at the shop, just a bare block and a crank

If it helps, here is what $500 got me:
Minor disassembly, Steam Cleaned everything, New Valve Guides, 81.5mm Bore & Hone, Crank Micro polish, balanced rotating assembly, file fitted rings, re-surfaced and lightened OEM Flywheel
It should cost you significantly less.
