Default motor mount welded ... am i screwed?

i picked up this 91 EF with a B18b1 swap for 700 bucks.. done all half ***, and the guys i guess welded the "custom mount" to the car.. some people say im assed out cuz suposedly that makes the chassis weaker and i can no longer swap any other motors in there.. kinda need some expert help lemme know guys..

If you want to swap any other engine besides a B then yeah you'd be assed out if the mounts were rewelded. Then again you could always have stock mounts welded back in their original location. I don't see how it would make the chassis weaker.

It makes it weaker because once heat is applied to the base metal its more brittle, Once is ok but if you go to cut off the already welded mount and reweld it again theres a better chance it could break... Bump For some Pics

If you cut it out you can always put in more metal on the reweld. Also back in the day people used to cut the mounts and move them to put a B-series in there. If that is what has occured just run with it.
