Default gas ported pistons for daily driving?

are pistons like this usable for everyday driving? I have a set and a few people have mentioned that after a few thousand miles they will clogged up and cause nasty carbon deposits and therefore cause hot spots that could cause detonation

I have no actual experience with running these pistons on my vehicle but i would just imagine that they would cause more ring wear due to the compression building up behind the ring. Another reason i think they are mostly used for dedicated race motors is because i dont think there really of to much benifit to have them on a street motor. Normal leak down from a cylinder is less than 10% i believe, i dont think you'll be seeing a great gain from this mod.
