Default Gingerman April 30, 2007 Open Track Day - Registration Open!

Hi everyone. Just a heads up for all you track junkies out there…

3BallsRacing is holding it’s first Open Track Day of the year on April 30th at Gingerman Raceway (near Grand Rapids Michigan). Last year we held three Track Days in Michigan and this year we are planning to hold at least 5 starting with this one at Gingerman. We picked Gingerman for the first event since it is one of the safest road courses you’ll find anywhere. Lots of run off, no blind corners, and just a lot of fun overall.

If anyone is not familer with how our events run, we run 4 groups based on Experience and your car, and we typically run 20min sessions. In addition, for the Beginner groups we have a classroom session at the start of the day while the A and B groups (experienced/inter) go on track first thing at 9:00am.

We also have a limited number of instructors for free, and they are on a first come first serve basis. They will go for rides with you, or take you out with them in their cars. (2 corvettes, Prelude (me), Lotus 7, GTO, 300ZX, and maybe a few more…)

A pizza lunch is provided also for free, and water and gatoraid is available all day long. Also free!

Race gas available at the track, we have a tow vehicle is case someone goes into the sand, 15 cars on track at once max (60 cars allowed to register) and we have flag people at all needed corners!

Cost only $140

Register at http://www.3BallsRacing.com Click register under events tab, or hit the link on the right of the page. You will need to register on the site before you can register for the event. This is so we can send mass emails to the participents that are registered for the track day.

Hope to see some honda’s out there! And I don’t want to be the only prelude either!!!

THUMBS UP

This sounds awesome! Only 15 cars on the track at one, a max. number of 60 cars, and still only $140. My only complaint is you don't have events in the North East.

Really cool stuff.

its gonna be a rushed few days before his first track event i'm assuming. nothing like an upcoming, paid for track event to make you get your crap done, IMO.

i'd be willing to bet thats the only way it'll live before the end of the summer. haha

its looking good though (he's doing the work out at my barn in indiana, he's got a LOT of parts there!)

That's excatly how I fell. I just bought a 91 MR2 turbo dirt cheap, with an engine that isn't runing. Time to start busting *** on that car! I want to have that, and my prelude out there! Bring a buddy, and switch cars through the day! Sounds like fun to me!

It's so funny how everyone who tracks their cars, usually never has an engine in their track car! Me included right now...

I think I found the problem on my new MR2... I think there's a good chance it will be ready for Gingerman!

Engines are overrated In the same boat, but i'm registered, can't wait. Hopefully we don't bring the rain from gratton to gingerman.

46/60 spots left. We've been getting 2-3 registrations a day about.

oh - How long until who's car is fired up??? I don't think any of us have a runing engine right now hehehe...

I'm hoping I'll have mine going in a month or two.

shooting for roughly a month, depending on how recieving of parts is coming.

depending on what i do for an LSD in the next week, might register sooner rather than later.

Crap - I'm a retard. I read "fired up" as is get the engine running, instead of "Filled up"... oops. But ya, about a month sound about right. maybe 5 weeks. But ya, the sooner the better, then we can plan the food and stuff. Pizza lunch rocks in the middle of the day! We didn't do that 2 years ago when you came out to Gingerman.... Much better!

Same question. Is there a spectators fee. I know there usually isnt at an event like this. Just wondering. Might have to take a ride down with adam and dave and watch some cars go around the track to really get me going on my own.

I've never had to pay. You will need to sign a waiver though, which is typical of any track.
