I think he's asking if the length of cat will be correct to line up. The bolt pattern is of course the same on the head as well as the cat, but the length is the question. Unfortunately, I don't have that answer.

Well, first off a little more info on the header will help. Such as the brand, etc......

Then it would help to know what year GSR it came off of. B/c I believe the '00-'01 had an exhaust manifold that wasn't short like the older ones.

Depends on the year of the GSR. 94-99 GSRs had shorter length headers with longer cats. You'll need a longer cat to make it fit if this is the case.

If the header came from a 00-01 GSR, header lengths became the same for all integras and it should bolt right up.

You could have posted a better picture of it IMO.

I'd use it, he got it for free! Wrap it up in heat tape and nobody will see how crappy it looks. As long as it performs well, that's all that matters really.

I'd have to agree, that header looks rather awful, and has clearly been modified. However, the lack of a primary O2 bung plus its short appearance leads me to believe that it was installed on a '94-'99 GS-R. Assuming that the rest of that GS-R's exhaust was stock (or at least stock length), then the header will not fit an ITR without extending the B-pipe or cat.

just redo the collector like the guys that modify the edelbrock header do.

Cut it off

2.5" tube, ovaled on one end

tools to flare the end

Might as well recycle the original flange

larger flange

done

Some Flitz polish and a shitload of elbow grease will have that header looking like new again. That is, if you give a flip about cosmetics.

Thats a 4-2-1 Jasma Header, nothing wrong at all with that, its generates a nice midrange bump on a C1 motor. You might want to polish it up with 2500 grit emory paper then wrap it. You will most likely not see a huge gain with it, but it will sound nice, and polished up it will be Bling...

It's going to take more than Flitz to make that collector modification look "like new".

A JASMA 4-2-1? Don't they also make the Mugen header?

Of course. You mean you've never seen people lay mirrors under their cars to display the JASMA goodness and pick up a few extra points?
