Hi I have 89 accord auto trans 132k runs fine. I was driving it today and it started making a popping sound from the engine. The noise increases with rpg and is slow at idle, but goes away when decelerating. The engine runs fine and no loss of power or missing. It runs completely normal like it always has. . Sounds like an old VW with an exhaust leak. I drove the car home at a slow speed and parked it.

Any ideas?

 

Problem found. I checked athe engine today and found that 2 of the exhaust manifold bolts fell off or broke off. Now to fix it.
