I went to put on my stainless steel lines & the rear nut on the hard line will NOT come off due to wonderful wisconsin corrosion.

If I cut the hard line just above the fitting & reflare it, what size is the fitting & where can i get one? I searched but found conflicting information and most of the links are either outdated or look like fittings for the prop valve, not the brake line side of the hard line.

Also, does this look like a good flaring tool?

Have you tried spraying it with some PB Blaster? I would steer away from cutting the line, but that just my opinion.

 

I've tried spraying with PB blaster, heating with a torch, and have been using a flare-end wrench. They are corroded to the line thanks to wisconsin winters.

I've already purchased the double-flaring tool, I just need the ends & am not sure where to go. None of the parts stores I've been to carry them in honda fitment & on the OEM honda parts webpages you can only buy the entire hard line assembly.

 

No one knows where to get replacement brake line fittings??

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'd like to try to re-flare my lines this weekend.

I'd pull one off probably any honda in the junk yard. Shrug.

 

I would, but if my car's fittings are corroded, other people's honda's around here probably aren't much different.

Also, I'd just rather use new ones, its just the way I am.
